12 in 12 Days - Per Incanto

A winning double at Otaki on Thursday gave Per Incanto 12 winners in 12 days and lifted the son of Street Cry to the top of the NZ Sires premiership.

Sylvia Kay’s mare Fiano (Per Incanto-Our Shiraz by Nediym) was too strong for her rating 65 opponents over 1200m and Colin Cromarty’s Skarloey (Per Incanto- Cachette by Kashani) recorded his fourth win in 18 starts when he took out the rating 74 1400m.

LA’s weekend focus will be on Bourbonaire (Darci Brahma- Star Guest by Pentire) in the Group 1 2000 Guineas. The colt, who was bred in partnership with Christine and Pete Algie and sold from LA’s 2019 Karaka draft, has another difficult draw but the roomy Riccarton track and the 1600m will suit as he attempts to go one better than his seconds in Group 2 races at his two most recent starts.

Buzz’s crazy ads, but on a slightly more serious note, how the family have continued to produce sound, genuine and class performers is testimony to the family and their staffs dedication and horsemanship.
