What a week Per Incanto’s had in Australia, so much so that Thursday's astonishing sale of one of his weanlings for $500k at the Gold Coast may not have been the highlight, although one things clear, Per Incanto has lifted himself into that very small and select group of New Zealand sires who Australian buyers consider capable of competing at a high level across the Tasman.
Yesterday’s sale of the Per Incanto colt from the Redoute’s Choice mare Nasaayim to George Moore Bloodstock for $500k makes him Per Incanto’s most expensive sale ring graduate. There was also a nice touch to the sale given that his vendor, Shadwell Stud, sold Per Incanto to LA for stallion duties.
Following the outstanding stakes win from the excitement machine Lost And Running (Per Incanto-Dreamlife by Danroad) at Rosehill last Saturday, Per Incanto had another Sydney winner mid-week when fellow 4YO Shadow Crush (Per Incanto-Inertia by Danasinga) came from last to score over 1100m on the inside track at Randwick.
The Australian markets assessment of Per Incanto is expected to go to another level with the sale of his high-class New Zealand Group 1 winning filly Bonham at the Gold Coast Broodmare Sale on Tuesday.
