Another Treble For Per Incanto

A trio of four-year-old mares has given Per Incanto his third raceday treble inside 12 months, the latest achievement occurring at Waipukurau on Sunday.

Relishing her first start beyond 1600m, the Roydon Bergerson trained mare Amorata (Per Incanto-Alyssum by Prized) finished strongly to win the opening event, the maiden 2200m.

The debutant Awatene (Per Incanto-Miss Sarah by Towkay) won the maiden 1200m for her owner and trainer Alby McGregor before the Guy Lowry and Grant Cullen trained Pakapunch (Per Incanto-Cancun by Flying Spur) rounded out the unique accomplishment, leading all the way to win the R65 1200m.
