Caulfield Winner for Per Incanto

Per Incanto’s strong start to the New Year continued at Caulfield on Wednesday with the four-year-old mare Perennial capping some very consistent form to win over 1800m for trainer Peter Moody.

Perennial, who is bred and owned by Haunui Farm in conjunction with Dennis and Maureen Nichol, started her career in NZ, placing in three of her four starts before being relocated to Melbourne for better racing opportunities.

Per Incanto has sired 13 individual winners since January 1 including three in Australia highlighted by impressive Flemington winner Hasstobegood. The Trelawney bred filly Circle of Magic (Per Incanto-Magic Briar by Thorn Park) scored nicely at Kilmore on Tuesday over 1100m for trainer Mark Kavanagh at just her second start.

Per Incanto is currently NZ’s leading sire for individual winners and wins ahead of Savabeel and he’s also Hong Kongs leading sire for individual Winners and wins ahead of Exceed and Excel.

Per Incanto has 32 yearlings catalogued for sale at the NZB National Yearling Sales which get underway at Karaka on 24 January.

Family, our families have done so much together in the industry and sociably, there's not too many industries today that allow you to do that.
