Colt Sought After At Magic Millions

The first of two colts reared at LA went through the ring at the Magic Millions Sale on the Gold Coast Thursday afternoon. Sold from the Sledmere Stud draft, the Snitzel colt from the Last Tycoon mare Gussy Godiva was bought by the China Horse Club for $375,000.

Congratulations to the colt’s vendor Mick Ormond. A big round of thanks to Royston and Catriona Murphy, and the team at Sledmere for doing such a grand job prepping the good walking colt.

LOT 609, the Pierro colt from Gussy Godiva’s half sister Sirani goes up for sale on Friday afternoon.

First and foremost, stockman and people whose interest in the animal translates into an innate ability to read how a horse will develop. I’ll see a foal at LA and Sam or Buzz will tell me how they expect it to develop. I’ll see it during my Karaka inspections 12 months later, and you could blow me over with a feather
