Another big result in the Magic Million sale ring for the second of the two LA reared colts was capped off minutes later by Ammirata (Nadeem-Iguana Joe by Dynaformer) winning the Group 3 Belle of the Turf Stakes at Gosford in New South Wales, giving Nadeem his 13th individual stakes winner.
The $410,000 paid for the Pierro colt from Sirani followed the sale yesterday of the Snitzel colt from Sirani’s half sister Gussy Godiva to the China Horse Club for $375,000. Both horses physically and mentally thrived through the sale, a real testimony to the Sledmere team. Thank you guys.
A member of Nadeem’s penultimate Australian conceived crop, the four-year-old mare Ammirata was recording her fifth win in just 10 career starts.
Remarkably Ammirata is another of Nadeem’s stakeswinners line bred to the mare Lalun, the dam of Never Bend and Bold Reason. LA’s draft for the upcoming Karaka Select Sale features four Nadeem colts line bred to Lalun: LOTS 576, 800, 896 and 944.
