Consistent 2YO Karrem’s Edge (Nadeem-Karamah by Unfuwain) won over 1400m in New South Wales on Sunday.
It was pleasing to see a good mix of familiar and new faces at our stallion and weanling parade on Sunday. The Wairarapa turned on a gorgeous winter’s day – what’s new!
Quick update on the racing team. It’s a young team following the retirements of Kekova and a few others but there is a lot of exciting potential. Alchemy’s Flight (Darci Brahma-Eloa by Volksraad) who shaped so promisingly in handful of starts for Jason Bridgman last summer has strengthened considerably and isn’t too far off trialling.
The unbeaten Tie Me Down (Pins – Ashley Down’s by Grosvenor) is working well for Roydon Bergerson. She is targeting the three-year-old race on the first day of the Hastings Spring Carnival.
Four mares are in the foaling paddock ready to drop, gloriously fine days, the trials kick-off at Te Teko next week, the Per Incanto(Street Cry – Pappa Reale by Indian Ridge) youngsters getting through their paces on training tracks throughout the length and breadth of the country, spring feels like its’ almost here!
