Cheered on by a large number of her ownership group on course, the LA bred and syndicated Roch N Horse (Per Incanto-Rochfort by Cecconi) stormed through a narrow gap late to claim the Rating 65 Mainstream Plumbing and Gasfitting 1200m at Ellerslie on New Years Day.
Roch N Horse, who took her record to two wins from three starts, was one of three Per Incanto fillies retained by the stud and syndicated in 2019. All three mares as they are now have won including Randwick winner Belluci Babe and Roch N Horse’s latest success is the sixth win from a combined 12 starts, a tally which also includes three minor placings.
LA’s Sam Williams was full of praise for Roch N Horse’s trainers.
“She hasn’t been the easiest, just growing pains really and Mike (Moroney) and Pam (Gerrard) have had to take her quietly. Going on what we saw today, there looks to be plenty more in store.”
