Exciting Times Ahead for Fillies Syndicates

Two members of LA’s 2019 Fillies Syndicate showed their readiness for raceday with impressive trial performances this week.

The Bjorn Baker trained Belluci Babe (Per incanto-Savamour by Savabeel) who won her only start back in January at Kembla Grange, scored by six lengths in her Randwick trial, scooting over the final 600m in sub 33 seconds.

The unraced Keke Star (Shooting to Win-Kekova by Elusive City) wasn’t extended to finish second at the Te Teko trials. Trained by Te Akau, the daughter of the dual stakes’ winner Kekova had been put aside after winning and running seconds in three trials last year.

Mick Moroney and Pam Gerrard have the third member of the fillies’ syndicate, the unnamed Per Incanto-Rochfort mare. She’s back in work following a decent break at LA.

Buzz’s crazy ads, but on a slightly more serious note, how the family have continued to produce sound, genuine and class performers is testimony to the family and their staffs dedication and horsemanship.
