Fillies Syndicate Winning Start Continues

After the commanding debut win by Belluci Babe(Per Incanto-Savamour by Savabeel) in Australia, the second member of LA’s 2019 Fillies Syndicate stepped out for her first start at Taupo on Sunday and Keke Star (Shooting to Win – Kekova by Elusive City) sent her big NZ wide ownership group into orbit with a thrilling victory.

Backed into second favourite on account of some solid trials, the Te Akau trained four-year-old mare never looked entirely comfortable on the undulating Taupo track but finished strongly to land the 1000m contest.

Belluci Babe, who hasn’t started since her impressive debut, showed her readiness for a return to the track with a scintillating six length trial win at Randwick recently

The third but by no means final member of the syndicate is the unnamed Per Incanto-Rochfort mare. Trained by Mike Moroney and Pam Gerard, she won a jumpout at Matamata last week.

History, tradition, family, good values and lots of fun. Also when we inspect an LA yearling we do so with confidence in the horses’ upbringing, soundness and temperament. It’s a theory that has worked well because with Dominic we’ve bought the likes of Redeem The Dream and the stakeswinner Sir Lovesalot
