IT'S ALL ABOUT NADEEM

Nadeem kicked Sam’s birthday weekend off in good style with Spanish Bay running a courageous 3rd in the G1 Singapore Guineas followed by Target in Sight running 2nd in the Listed Sprint at Scone and Nadeems Lass running 3rd in the SAJC Proud Miss Stakes. He also produced 3 other winners on the day in Australia.

The drum roll for Towkay shows no signs of abating. He’s had two more individual winners over the past couple of days including Arzak (Towkay-Roseario by Pentire), bred by Robyn Horton and raced by Robyn’s estate, who won fresh-up over 1400m at Waipa.

Per Incanto (Street Cry-Pappa Reale by Indian Ridge) had a great result at this week’s National Weanling Sale when his only colt in the catalogue, from the Machiavellian mare La Serenissime, sold for $52,500 to Lyndhurst Farm.

Honours for top price amongst our draft at the Sale went to the Azamour-Madam Butterfly colt that we sold on behalf of Sue Harty and the C T McKay Trust. A strong, correct type, the colt eventually sold to for $23,000 to NZB as agent.

First and foremost, stockman and people whose interest in the animal translates into an innate ability to read how a horse will develop. I’ll see a foal at LA and Sam or Buzz will tell me how they expect it to develop. I’ll see it during my Karaka inspections 12 months later, and you could blow me over with a feather
