Day 1 of the NZB Karaka Yearling Sale was a quiet day numbers wise for LA but it has started extremely positively with the sale of a Per Incanto colt for $230k and a Time Test filly for $100k.
As expected, competition was fierce for the Per Incanto colt (pictured) from the Stravinsky mare Ballet Danseuse, with multiple bidders from Hong Kong striving to take home a colt by a sire who continues to rewrite the record books in the former British colony. Chris McAnulty under his Dullingham banner eventually won out, providing the colt’s breeder Simon Niblett with an excellent result.
Things step up a gear for the farm tomorrow with some highly anticipated Per Incanto yearlings, notably the colt from Isstoora and fillies from Irish Cream and Los Vargas, and two well inspected Savabeel colts, from Lottery and Navapura.
