More Sydney Black Type Success

On the eve of the NZB Karaka Yearling Sale, where he has a record representation of 29 yearlings including 23 in Book 1, Per Incanto has given buyers a reminder of his prowess as a sire of black type performers with his classy mare Bellucci Babe (Per Incanto-Savamour by Savabeel) scoring a well-deserved stakes success in the 1200m Group 3 Wenona Girl Quality at Randwick on Saturday.

Bellucci Babe’s victory comes three weeks after Per Incanto’s rising star Lost And Running scored convincingly in a Group 3 contest at the same venue.

The Bjorn Baker trained 5YO LA bred mare, who is raced by the farm in partnership with a wonderful group of friends, has a record of 6 wins and 8 minor placings, including placings in Group 2 and 3 races, from 18 career starts, for stake earnings of A$330,000.

Bellucci Babe is Per Incanto's 23rd individual stakes winner.

History, tradition, family, good values and lots of fun. Also when we inspect an LA yearling we do so with confidence in the horses’ upbringing, soundness and temperament. It’s a theory that has worked well because with Dominic we’ve bought the likes of Redeem The Dream and the stakeswinner Sir Lovesalot
