After a record number of inspections and an atmospheric evening of high-class racing, LA enjoyed an outstanding Book 1 Sale which concluded at Karaka on Tuesday afternoon.
With purchasers such as Ciaron Maher, John O'Shea, Peter Moody, Danny O'Brien, Chris Rutten, Andrew Forsman, Phil Cataldo and Riversley Park, you can certainly be confident that you are breeding a product sought after by the very best judges in Australasia.
Five of the farms 17 horses sold realised $200,000 or more, with the top price being $250,000 paid by John O'Shea and James Bester for the Savabeel colt from the Per Incanto mare Camillino.
Although the farm was disappointed to have to withdraw their star lot, the Per Incanto filly from the Group 1 winner Fleur de lune, Per Incanto had another fantastic sale, with his 22 yearlings sold averaging $161,000, with a top price of $375,000 for the filly from the Group 1 producing mare Parmalove.
LA is another outstanding lineup of yearlings to sell in book 2 which gets underway on Wednesday morning.
