Sir Lovesalot (Darci Brahma-Sound Lover) joined group three winner Viadana (Towkay-Yeah Nah) in becoming the second stakeswinner bred on the farm in three weeks of racing when successful in the Listed Shaw’s Wire Ropes Sprint over 1400m at Te Rapa on Sunday. Sold from our 2010 Karaka Premier draft to Hong Kong owner Dominic Li, the four-year-old, who now has the enviable record of five wins from 11 career starts, is next set to run in the Group Two Rich Hill Mile at Ellerslie on New Years Day.
Savamour, a half sister to Sir Lovesalot, is represented by her first foal, a Stratum colt in our Karaka Premier draft. The colt is LOT 329.
We have three lots by Darci Brahma in our Karaka Premier draft including a half sister to Group Two Honk Kong winner More Bountiful.
Our excitement at Sir Lovesalot’s win had hardly abated when the LA bred and owned Shuswap (Pins-Monashees) was successful over 1400m at Kembla Grange in New South Wales. LA will offer a full sister to Shuswap as LOT 263 in the Karaka Premier Sale.
Towkay stakeswinner and multiple group one placed mare Kay’s Awake (Towkay-Wake Up Suzie) looks set for a broodmare career everybit as successful as her racing career judging by the impressive win of her first foal, the three-year-old Zabeel gelding Alert at the Ellerslie twilight meeting last Wednesday.
Other LA bred/Reared winners on the weekend include She's Trendy (Pins - Racing Waters), Peter Parrot(Danske - Her Hidden Talent) and an unlucky 2nd to Manu (Darci Brahma - Sporty Spice)
