Nadeem Mare In Winning Synch

4YO mare Chimed Inn (Nadeem-Pantenny by Canny Lad) registered her third career win and her second in her last three starts when successful over 1600m in Australia on Sunday. She did it in style, winning by over five lengths.

Specter (Nadeem-Woman in White by Daylami) just missed giving Nadeem a double for the day when second in a heat of the Winter Championship contested over 1400m at Cranbourne. The 5YO who has been dogged by injury was good enough to run fourth to Helmet in the Caulfield Guineas as a three-year-old, beating home the likes of Smart Missile and Chase The Rainbow.

Speedy Pins six-year-old Cheville (Pins-Bering Island by Bering), successful in the Darwin TC QBE Cup last week, was bought from our 2009 Karaka Premier draft. The Stephen Brown trained galloper broke 1.10 for the 1200m trip.

The LA bred Shotover River (Savabeel-Riverlette by Centaine) made a good fist of his debut in black-type company with a hard fought close fourth placing in the Group 3 Tattersall’s Cup at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

First and foremost, stockman and people whose interest in the animal translates into an innate ability to read how a horse will develop. I’ll see a foal at LA and Sam or Buzz will tell me how they expect it to develop. I’ll see it during my Karaka inspections 12 months later, and you could blow me over with a feather
