High-class sprinting mare Prima Bella continued her golden preparation at Randwick where she downed a hot line-up over 1100 metres to claim top honours in the G3 Toy Show Quality.
The LA bred and sold daughter of Per Incanto has now won her last three on the bounce for trainer Matthew Smith.
“It was a super ride by Kerrin (McEvoy), he took luck out of it,” Smith said. “The owners have been very patient and been rewarded with a Group 3.”
Smith went to A$320,000 to secure Prima Bella, who is out of the Darci Brahma mare Brah Spring with the grand matron Sound Lover her third dam, at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale. PHOTO credit : Bradleyphotos.com.au
