Bred and sold by Little Avondale, the son of Per Incanto had been a Randwick trial winner and carried that form over to race day with a stirring finish under Dyland Gibbons to triumph over 1350 metres.
Montresor was knocked down for A$100,000 at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale and is out of the Toronado mare Tereras, a half-sister to Listed Futurity Stakes winner Atullibigeal, and the international family of G1 Chantilly Prix du Jockey Club winner New Bay.
Tereras has a yearling filly by Hello Youmzain and has just foaled an outstanding bay filly by Little Brose for new owners Kirsty Percy, Emma Hepburn and Jo Wakeling.
