Per Incanto 3YO Runs Second In Group 3

Shadows Cast (Per Incanto-Ages Past by Slavic) put up a tremendous performance for one so inexperienced to run a close second in the Group 3 1600m Wellington Stakes at Otaki on Friday.

Coming off a second place finish behind Per Incanto filly Cantilena at Riccarton over 1400m at his previous start, the Ron Cunningham owned  and Mark Oulaghan trained gelding ran the 1600m out strongly, failing by just a short half head to deliver Per Incanto his fourth individual stakeswinner.

Shadows Cast rounded off a good week for the farm. The LA bred and part owned filly Precision Miss (Per Incanto-Miss Moneytreeby Pins) was impressive winning at Te Aroha for the Graeme Richardson stable. Later on the same day in Perth, the Lorraine Jameson bred filly Hopetoun (Pins-  Ciara by O’Reilly) won over 1200m while in Hong Kong that evening, Idyllic Wind (Towkay-Wake Up Suzie by Hereward The Wake) won again in Hong Kong to remain unbeaten in his three starts this season.

History, tradition, family, good values and lots of fun. Also when we inspect an LA yearling we do so with confidence in the horses’ upbringing, soundness and temperament. It’s a theory that has worked well because with Dominic we’ve bought the likes of Redeem The Dream and the stakeswinner Sir Lovesalot
