Promising colt Rue De Royale (Per Incanto-Urban Royal by Exceed And Excel) produced another outstanding effort, finishing strongly for second in the Aus $2 million 1100m Listed Restricted Inglis Millenium at Randwick on Saturday.
A $180k purchase from the Sledmere draft at last year’s Inglis Classic Sale, Rue De Royale has certainly lifted the profile of the seven Per Incanto yearlings, including three in the LA draft, at this year’s Sale which gets underway at the Riverside sales complex in Sydney tomorrow 11 February.
The LA bred Rue De Royale has started on three occasions, for two seconds and a fourth, for stake earnings approaching Aus $600k, including $380k for his Millenium placing.
Per Incanto’s latest Australian metropolitan winner came at Moonee Valley on Friday night when the Meredith Park bred three-year-old gelding My Name Is (Per Incanto-Manon by O’Reilly) scored over 1000m.
LA has a draft of five yearlings catalogued for this year’s Classic Sale. One of the drafts highlights is expected to be LOT 233, a Per Incanto colt from the Medaglia D’Oro mare Domicile, who will go through the ring at approximately 6.30pm NZ time on Sunday.
On the back of excellent results at Karaka, including topping Book 2 with a $220k colt, there has been a good deal of interest in the only Time Test yearling in the sale, Lot 410 in the LA draft. The colt, who is a cracking first foal from the Per Incanto mare Lady Muskwa, will go through the ring at approximately 4.15pm on Monday.
