Per Incanto Colt Tops Day 1 of Book 2

LA’s Per Incanto colt from the Falkirk mare Makkura topped the prices on Day 1 of the NZB Book 2 Sale, selling for $160,000 to Australian based bloodstock agent John Foote on behalf of Hong Kong interests.

“Per Incanto has done well in Asia and Hong Kong, he is an under rated sire, I think Hong Kong were the underbidders,” Foote said.

LA offered the colt in partnership with Singapore client Constance Cheng.

In another good result for an LA client, Masterton breeder Ian Holloway’s Shocking-Pukalee colt sold to Richardson Racing Stables for $85,000.

Day 2 of Book 2 gets underway at 11am.

First and foremost, stockman and people whose interest in the animal translates into an innate ability to read how a horse will develop. I’ll see a foal at LA and Sam or Buzz will tell me how they expect it to develop. I’ll see it during my Karaka inspections 12 months later, and you could blow me over with a feather
