Per Incanto Galloper Impressive Again In Hong Kong

Impressive putting consecutive wins together at the back end of last season, exciting four-year-old Baba Mama (Per Incanto-Irish Magic by O’Reilly) again showed on opening day of the new season on Saturday why he’s regarded as one of the most promising gallopers in Hong Kong.

Its one thing to record three consecutive wins in Hong Kong but it’s the manner of the victories which are winning him plenty of fans.

His latest win which came courtesy of his usual racing style, settling near last before getting hooked the widest on the turn, was once again accomplished in quicker than standard time. Little wonder therefore that race commentator Brett Davis was moved to say “this is a class act” as the Ardsley Stud bred gelding comfortably gathered in the leaders over the final stages of the 1400m Class 3 event.

Adding to the buzz, Baba Mama was Per Incanto’s first Hong Kong runner when he debuted in April this year.

History, tradition, family, good values and lots of fun. Also when we inspect an LA yearling we do so with confidence in the horses’ upbringing, soundness and temperament. It’s a theory that has worked well because with Dominic we’ve bought the likes of Redeem The Dream and the stakeswinner Sir Lovesalot
