Per Incanto Mare Travels in Style

Per Incanto Mare Travels in Style

Quality LA homebred Prima Bella made her first visit to Flemington a memorable one when she shared top honours in a thrilling finish down the straight course.

The Matthew Smith-trained daughter of Per Incanto had finished third at her previous outing at Randwick and justified her trip to Melbourne in style when dead-heating for first over 10900 metres.

Prima Bella realised A$320,000 at the Inglis Classic Sale when sold on LA’s behalf by Sledmere Stud and the patiently handled five-year-old now has six wins from 13 appearances.

She is a daughter of the Darci Brahma mare Brah Spring, who was successful on seven occasions up to 1600 metres, and from the potent Group-winning family of late stud resident Nadeem, Evaporate, Belluci Babe, Philosophe.

History, tradition, family, good values and lots of fun. Also when we inspect an LA yearling we do so with confidence in the horses’ upbringing, soundness and temperament. It’s a theory that has worked well because with Dominic we’ve bought the likes of Redeem The Dream and the stakeswinner Sir Lovesalot
