Per Incanto Tops Book 2

Per Incanto’s outstanding week of results at the NZB National Yearling Sales has concluded with the Street Cry stallion topping the sires averages for the two day Book 2 Sale which finished on Friday at Karaka.

On the back of a $141,000 average across Book 1, Per Incanto had 12 yearlings sell in Book 2 for an average of $71,500k. Waikato’s Hiwi Lodge bought the top two Per Incanto lots in Book 2 paying $150,000 for LA’s colt from the O’Reilly mare Real Angel and $140,000 for Milan Park’s colt from the Danasinga mare Demerara (pictured here).

Lisa Latta will be hoping her purchase of Christine and Peter Algie’s Per Incanto filly from the LA draft for $65,000 is a case of déjà vu after the leading Awapuni trainer paid exactly the same price for the dual Group 1 placed Nadeem colt Sir Nate from the LA draft at the same sale two years ago.

LA finished Book 2 in third position on aggregate and third on average.

The whole team at LA would like to say a big thank-you to all the purchasers and under bidders on our yearlings across the week. We trust they bring you as much satisfaction and enjoyment as we’ve had rearing and caring for them.  Remember you’re always welcome to drop in and see us at the farm; otherwise we’ll see you in at Barn D again in 12 months time.

Family, our families have done so much together in the industry and sociably, there's not too many industries today that allow you to do that.
