Clients Sharing In Book 1 Sale Success

With some long-standing clients having good results on the first three days of the NZB National Yearling Sales Series at Karaka, it was exciting to see some new clients enjoy similar success on the 4th and final day of the Book 1 session of the NZB National Yearling Sale at Karaka on Wednesday.

Selling with LA for the first time, Australian based clients Max Whitby, Neil Hoar, Mike Everett and James Jackson's Savabeel filly from Channel’s Choice caught the eye of one of the best judges of Savabeel fillies in Bruce Perry, with Bruce eventually securing the filly for $240,000.

LA’s final lot for Book 1 also found a proven buyer and home with Paul Moroney purchasing the Dissident-Commandment filly for $130,000 for brother Mike’s trans Tasman stable.

Per Incanto wrapped an outstanding Book 1 Sale with his Anaween filly from the LA draft selling to Malua Racing/Flemington Bloodstock for $155,000. In a real vote of confidence in the son of Street Cry, his eleven yearlings to sell in Book 1 averaged $141,000.

First and foremost, stockman and people whose interest in the animal translates into an innate ability to read how a horse will develop. I’ll see a foal at LA and Sam or Buzz will tell me how they expect it to develop. I’ll see it during my Karaka inspections 12 months later, and you could blow me over with a feather
