Pins Colt Caps Another Great Classic Sale For LA

Once again buyers have endorsed LA's decision to send a small but select offering to the Inglis Classic Sale with the sale of the Pins half brother to last years Sale topping Per Incanto colt, selling on the final day for $260,000 to Carmel Size for Hong Kong interests.

The Pins colt was bred by LA and Stephen Mercer.

At the same sale where he launched himself so memorably two years ago, Per Incanto had another strong sale finishing 4th on the sales average with $108,333 behind Pins $150,000, Written Tycoon $132,000, Smart Missile $110,000.

On the strength of the promise shown by two unraced Per Incanto two-year-olds that he bought at the corresponding sale last year, young New South Wales trainer Kurt Goldman returned and bought another two yearlings by the son of Street Cry, including the colt from Generous mare Ornate for $185,000.

Of course the jewel in this whole exercise has been Catriona and Royston Murphy's Sledmere Stud. None of this could have been possible without you and your dedicated team. Thank you guys.
