Rewarding Premier Sale For LA

LA had a Top 10 finish by aggregate ($1,620,000) with an average of of $147,275 for 11 lots sold. a fantastic result and we head into the Select Sale buoyed by the last two days and full of optimism for the week ahead.

Once again it was pleasing to see the familiar names of proven buyers returning to buy with confidence from LA. Names like Lisa Latta, Paul Moroney, Kris Lees, David Ellis, Dean Hawthorne and the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

Congratulations to Brendan and Jo Lindsay on their purchase of the Savabeel filly from Luscious Legs by Pins for $250,000. Opportunities to buy into this family are rare.

Successful Matamata trainer Graham Richardson bought the racy Keeper filly from Knocknacrea. We wish you all the best with her Graham.

Our Sale ended on a somewhat nostalgic note when we sold the final Zabeel yearling at this year’s Premier Sale, and our last ever Zabeel yearling, to Dean Hawthorne for $270,000. Thanks old fella for sterling service to LA and the industry down the years.

On the back of his sensational debut at Sydney Classic, interest in the sole Per Incanto yearling in the Premier Sale, our colt from Sound Lover, was unbelievably high, and we were delighted with his sale for $100,000 to Michael Freedman/Michael Wallace Bloodstock. Michael’s purchase continues the trend started by Kris and Paul Shalier last year, and continued at Sydney last week, of some of the best training talent securing his stock.

We have ten Per Incanto yearlings in our Select and Festival drafts this week. Come out to Barn D and see what all the fuss is about.

Another great job by LA Stud, we have complete confidence in you guys
