Group 1 placed two-year-old Rocanto (Per Incanto-Romantic Liaisons by Danasinga) showed his sprinting prowess with a winning return to the races at Taupo on Wednesday. The Stephen Marsh trained three-year-old colt overcame 60Kgs and older opposition to score a strong win over 1200m. Although holding a nomination for the Group 1 Telegraph at Trentham on 16 January, connections are leaning towards a three-year-old race on the same card, feeling that he will be much better suited to NZ's premier test of speed in twelve months time.
