Story Still Unfolding For Per Incanto Mare

The well bred Bedtime Story (Per Incanto-Happy Endings by Tavistock) added to her black type record with a fine second in the 1400m Group 3 ITM Stakes at Rotorua on Saturday.

Bred, and raced in partnership, by the Duchess of Bedford, the lightly raced four year old Per Incanto mare, who was coming off a third placed finish in the Listed Anzac Mile at Wanganui, has a record of 15 starts for four wins and six placings.

Bedtime Story's second dam is the outstanding mare Snap. Raced by the Duchess and her late husband, the daughter of Kingdom Bay was a multiple Group 1 winner including the NZ Oaks.

LA looks forward to seeing you at the farms stallion parade this Thursday from 2pm, featuring Per Incanto, currently the leading NZ sire on the Australian sires premiership, and his son, the Group 1 Blue Diamond winner Little Brose.

First and foremost, stockman and people whose interest in the animal translates into an innate ability to read how a horse will develop. I’ll see a foal at LA and Sam or Buzz will tell me how they expect it to develop. I’ll see it during my Karaka inspections 12 months later, and you could blow me over with a feather
