Super Stakes Strike for Per Incanto

Genuine five-year-old Oak Hill credited his super sire Per Incanto with the 35th stakes winner of his illustrious career when he claimed top honours in the G2 Rubiton Stakes over 1100 metres at Caulfield.

“That was a terrific effort, he’s a late bloomer who we inherited off the late, great Michael Moroney and he just keeps getting better and better,” said JD Hayes, who trains the gelding with brothers Ben and Will.

Bred by the Mahoenui Partnership, LA sold Oak Hill during the 2022 Book 1 session of New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale for $180,000 to Paul Moroney Bloodstock and Ballymore Stakes.

Their dam is the High Chaparral mare Isstoora and we also sold Oak Hill’s half-brother and G1 Captain Cook Stakes winner Desert Lightning for $150,000.
