Time Test colt Crypto Force (Time Test – Luna Mere by Galileo) could be heading to Royal Ascot after an impressive winning debut performance over 1400m at The Curragh on good ground last Wednesday.
A 160,000 Guineas Breeze Up purchase by his trainer Michael O’Callaghan, the Time Test colt let down in the manner of his sire to beat a maiden field generally considered to have a lot of depth, with the commentator calling it a “taking” performance as he crossed the line two lengths clear of his closest challenger.
Closer to home Per Incanto provided the weekend highlights, supplying as is fast becoming his custom, another Sydney Saturday winner, while there were also winning performances at Waverley by Platinum Bordeaux and at Avondale by the Lowell Goddard bred and raced three-year-old gelding Lex Rex.
Sold to Australian Bloodstock after showing a ton of promise in a handful of starts for Alan Sharrock earlier in the season, three-year-old filly Per Inaway (Per Incanto-Inertia by Danasinga) franked strong support to making a winning Australian debut when successful over 1200m at Rosehill.
