It’s one thing to have your debut runner succeed first time of asking but it’s another when they win as impressively as Island Golden (Time Test-The Beckett by Spartacus) managed at Sha Tin on Sunday.
Time Test’s first Hong Kong starter, Island Golden, justified his short priced favouritism with a three and a half-length winning margin. To support the impressive visual nature of the win the Kevin Hickman bred 3YO gelding ran the 1200m in 1.09.50.
Island Golden won and placed in two trials in NZ as a late season 2YO.
Time Test has six 2YO’s entered for the NZB RTR Sale at Karaka on 17 and 18 November. The breeze ups for the sale take place at Te Rapa 16-17th November.
