Stallion phenomenon Dubawi, sire of LA‘s new stallion Time Test, continues to accumulate accolades faster than the Canterbury Crusaders and the Golden State Warriors combined.
On the back of a clear lead in the English sires stake money premiership, the Darley colossus earlier this month became the first British stallion to sire 100 Group winners and 155 stakes winners in total while his popularity in the sale ring was evident at the Arquana Yearling Sale in Deauville on Sunday, siring the highest priced lot, a colt who fetched 1.4 million pounds.
Dubawi also looks set to play an influential role in the Group 1 10.5 Furlongs Juddmonte International Stakes at York on Wednesday England time. Favourite for the time honoured event, and chasing his third Group 1 win in a row, is Dubawi’s grandson Poetic Word (Poetic Voice), while one of his tougher opponents is expected to be Dubawi’s dual Group 1 winning son Benbatl.
Buoyed by the excellent start made by the Hong Kong Derby winner Akeed Mofeed (Dubawi-Wonder Why by Tiger Hill) to his siring career in Australia and the continuing worldwide success of Makfi, who left his 25th stakes winner recently, LA are delighted to offer breeders the best bred son of Dubawi to retire to stud in Australasia, the dual Group 2 and 3 winning track-record holder, Time Test (Dubawi-Passage of Time by Dansili).
