Taupo Double for Per incanto and Local Breeder

Te Parae’s Angela Irving only breeds from a couple of mares these days but one of those, the O’Reilly mare Lutine Belle, delivered the very excited breeder a day at Taupo on Wednesday that she won’t forget in a hurry.

The full relations by Per Incanto, Cutting Up Rough and Carillion won their respective 1300m and 1000m events. Carillion’s maiden victory was particularly satisfying for connections and a real credit to the patient handling of the five-year-old mare by her trainers Guy Lowry and Grant Cullen.

Meanwhile there was a lot to like about the debut of La la Lola (Per Incanto-Roseario by Pentire) at Pakenham on Tuesday over 1000m. The LA bred half sister to Group 1 winner Saint Emilion came from a near hopeless position turning for home to get-up for second. With Trilli’s (Per Incanto- Tinkermia by Johar) last start effort behind Tony Niconni franked by the colts Group 3 win last Saturday, Per Incanto looks to have a couple of nice three-year-old fillies for the Melbourne spring.

They cover all bases and do everything with pride and passion, be it raising their horses, to their staffs attire, to the way they treat clients and visitors
