Tonia’s Dragon struck a timely winning blow over 1400 metres on her home track at Matamata when posting her third career victory for trainer Pam Gerard.
The Time Test five-year-old was bred and sold by LA who will offer her half-sister by Ardrossan as Lot 332 during the Book 1 session of the upcoming New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sale at Karaka.
They are out of Per Incanto’s daughter Camillino, a sister to G1 Diamond Stakes winner Dal Cielo and the family of G1 Australasian Oaks winner Lights Of Heaven.
Tonia’s Dragon was knocked down to Pegasus Bloodstock at Karaka in 2022 for $100,000 and her half-brother by Savabeel was sold for $250,000 last year to O’Shea Charlton Racing, James Bester Bloodstock and Hurworth Bloodstock and will race as Savallino.
