Last Wednesday in Hong Kong saw a well deserved win for the Lorraine Jameson bred Great Reknown (Towkay-Cantante) who had raced in New Zealand as Tsonga. Later in the programme saw the debut of the LA bred Gamekeepers (Pins-Eloa), and the three-year-old gelding who sold at last year's Ready to Run Sale to John Foote Bloodstock, franked a recent trial success to win over 1200m.
The LA and Pip McCarroll bred Fun Heroes (Towkay-Ashley Downs), who won over 1800m at Sha Tin on Sunday has a yearling half sister by Pins entered in the Karaka Premier Sale in January. Both are half relations to Can't Keeper Down (by Keeper) who ran second in the 2009 New Zealand Oaks.
Selador (Savabeel-Double Okay), who broke her maiden status with a win over 1600 m at Matamata last Thursday, was passed in as part of our 2010 Karaka Select Sale draft. The filly, who held a Levin Classic nomination at one stage, is raced on lease from us by The Forward Pass syndicate.
The consistent Liberator (Towkay-Our Secret) won his maiden over 1340m at Wanganui on Saturday while the following day saw Spoilt Princess (Towkay-Penjensu) score over 1200m at Cromwell.
