Waller Wins With LA Bred

Low Places (Pentire-Foxtrot by Rory’s Jester) appreciated the step to 2000m when breaking his maiden in New South Wales last week. Bought by Mulcaster Bloodstock from the draft of Lyndhurst Farm, who prepared him for us, at the 2013 Ready To Run Sale, the consistent gelding will certainly get every opportunity to make into a good stayer under the tutelage of master trainer Chris Waller.

Lyndhurst will present a half brother to Low Places by Nadeem on our behalf, at the Ready To Run Sale at Karaka this November. The colt is bred on the same cross of Nadeem over a Rory’s Jester mare as this seasons Singapore Group 2 winning three-year-old Spanish Bay.

Per Incanto sired his first win in Singapore on Friday when the LA bred 3YO Terms of Reference (Per Incanto- Myladys by Kingfisher Mill) gained a well deserved win over 1200m. The leggy, long striding gelding is a great advertisement for the value many breeders have derived from Per Incanto, selling for $26,000 from the draft of Sledmere Stud at the 2014 Inglis Classic Sale, before been turned over to his current owners for $120,000 at the Magic Millions Ready To Run Sale late last year.

The Block Partnership, who bought dual group 1 winners Xanadu off us as a foal, look to have a nice replacement for their recently retired dual Group 1 winner, in the form of the LA and John Duncan bred Zadiffra (Iffraaj-Trigon Lass by Centaine), going by her strong win at Taupo last week. Despite racing three and four wide for most of the 1300m trip, the strongly made Iffraaj mare still packed too many guns for her opposition.

Tough galloper My Quilter (Pins-Sound Lover by Sound Reason) registered his ninth career victory when successful over 1600m in Queensland on Saturday. The LA bred gelding took his stake earnings to Aus $230,000 with his latest win.
