Well Bred Filly Delivers On Debut

Winning a race is even just that little bit sweeter when it occurs at your local course. Throw in the fact that we bred the impressive debut winner of the Wairarapa Racing Club’s Tower Gates Maiden over 1300m at Tauherenikau on Monday, Tie Me Down (Pins – Ashley Downs by Grosvenor) with our very good friend Pip McCarroll, and the feeling is nigh on unbeatable!.

A half sister to Group 1 N.Z Oaks runner-up Can’t Keeper Down and good Hong Kong galloper Fun Heroes (Towkay), Tie Me Down clearly has the scope to progress quickly through the grades next season. Ashley Downs has a weanling Nadeem filly and is in foal to Per Incanto.

Repudiate (Nadeem-Fiaafy by Gone West) won over 1900m at Geelong, just outside Melbourne, last Tuesday.

Family, our families have done so much together in the industry and sociably, there's not too many industries today that allow you to do that.
