Rue De Royale (pictured here as a yearling) closed out in style when the LA graduate claimed top honours in the final metropolitan race of 2025 at Flemington.
The son of Per Incanto was successful over 1200 metres and while it was only his second career victory, the Tony and Calvin McEvoy-trained representative has proved a grand money-spinner with earnings topping $940,000.
He was offered on behalf of LA at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale by Sledmere Stud and sold to McEvoy Mitchell Racing for A$180,000.
“He’s a really good horse, but it’s been a bit frustrating so we’re thrilled to get him back in the winner’s stall,” Calvin McEvoy said.
Rue De Royale is out of the Exceed And Excel mare Urban Royal, who has a yearling Ardrossan filly and is back in foal to Per Incanto, and from the family of Group 1-winning half-siblings Astern and Alizee.
