If the healthy crowd who turned out on a warm if somewhat blustery Masterton Sunday morning to view our Karaka Yearling Sale draft were left with one thought it was undoubtedly about the buzz around the parade ring whenever one of the eleven Per Incanto (Street Cry – Pappa Reale) yearlings was led out of the stable block.
The feedback from agents and trainers about the Per Incanto yearlings has been overwhelmingly positive but it was really encouraging to let the cat out of the bag so to speak with clients and the many visitors. Roll on Karaka.
Towkay reminded us all of his prodigious ability siring a double at the Waipukurau meeting on Sunday. The Don Gordon bred and part owned four-year-old mare Pit a Pat (Towkay – Scret Step) saluted over 1400m while later in the day another four-year-old mare in the form of the Karen Zimmerman trained Edge of Glory (Towkay – Wooden Doll)ran out a comprehensive winner, also over 1400m.
The photos of our Karaka yearlings are due to go up on our website on Friday 17th January. The Premier yearlings leave the farm this Sunday 19 January and will be available for inspection on at 11am Wednesday 22nd January,
Come over to Barn D and see if you are sharp enough to spot the next Viadana, Xanadu or Savvy Nature.
