What a black-type record Sterling City (Nadeem-So Gorgeous by Brief Truce) is compiling in Hong Kong. His latest victory in the Gr.3 Chinese Challenge Club Cup over 1400m at Sha Tin on New Years Day was his third black-type win from his last five starts – the other two starts resulted in a Gr.2 second placing and an unlucky fifth behind Lord Kanaloa in the Gr.1 Hong Kong Sprint.
Nadeem also had a nice winner in Australia on Saturday in the form of the John O’Shea trained Shravan (Nadeem-Dancing by Spectrum) who won over 1600m in New South Wales.
We have some lovely Nadeem foals on the farm this season and can’t wait until Karaka next year to present his first New Zealand yearlings. Nadeem has three Australian conceived yearlings at Karaka later this month including LOT 577 which is part of our Select draft – Cambridge Stud present his other two yearlings.
Friday’s impressive Ruakaka winner Deckhand (Darci Brahma-Monashees by Woodman) was bought from our 2012 Karaka Premier draft by Paul Moroney.
We would love to see you at our annual yearling parade here at the farm this Sunday commencing at 10.30am. Come and check out the Per Incanto yearlings that so many of the agents and trainers are talking about. It’s always a lot of fun and maybe you could spot the next Viadana or Xanadu. We will also parade Per Incanto, Nadeem and Towkay.
