Time Test Thursday this week puts the spotlight on the aptly named 4YO gelding Braveman’sgame (Time Test- Sampi by Per Incanto), who is doing a great job, with an excellent support cast, of showing off Time Test across the Tasman.
Braveman’sgame has been a revelation from the Michael Hickmott stable in Adelaide. An encouraging second on debut at Morphettville, the gelding has won his next two starts, also at the Adelaide track, on each occasion showing a ton of tenacity and hitting the line hard. He was purchased out of LA's Stallion Manager Helen Phinney’s paddock in Masterton in February by Andrew Campbell.
LA have been a believer in the Time Test cross over Per Incanto mares from day one and the results so far are very encouraging, headed by ITM Winter Championship winner Delorean, the Ryder Stakes runner and place getter Tonia’s Dragon, impressive debut winner Panic and Braveman’sgame. It’s an excellent match on pedigree, and generally, type and temperament.
Braveman’sgame continues an excellent run of Australian form by the progeny of Time Test. The son of Dubawi has the incredible strike rate of 13 winners of 19 races, including two stakes horses. With the likes of Pushy, The Year’s, Panic, Running On Time and now Braveman’sgame, expect even more to come.
Time Test has six lots entered for the NZB RTR Sale on 22 and 23 November. With what the stallion has achieved of late across the Tasman, Australian interest in the three colts and three geldings will be strong.
