Time Test Thursday this week features another unbeaten Australian youngster by Time Test.
There’s a fair chance Golden Slipper winning trainer Michael Freedman will be shopping for Time Test progeny at the NZ sales this summer, and it’s a fair bet that agent Mick Wallace will be closely involved in the selection.
Michael has the unbeaten Time Test 3YO’s Pushy, who lines up in the Group 3 Dulcify Stakes at Randwick on Saturday, and Panic, who made an impressive winning debut in NSW a fortnight ago. Both horses were purchased from the 2022 Karaka Sales by Mick Wallace – Wallace bought Panic in partnership with Paul Moroney.
Bred by Lib Petagna’s JML Bloodstock, Panic (Time Test – Daniela’s Magic by Per Incanto) was a $80,000 Karaka purchase. An impressive Randwick trial winner, Panic was astutely placed to debut in a $55,000 maiden and he never gave those who backed him into the prohibitive odds of $1.30 any concern, striding clear over the closing stages in the manner of a horse who will appreciate a good deal further than the 1100m of the race.
Panic is another promising Time Test galloper from a Per Incanto mare. The mare, Daniela’s Magic is a full sister to the multiple Group 2 winner Saracino.
