Time Test Thursday this week puts the spotlight on a Hawkes Bay trained filly.
Spring has certainly seen a number of Time Test progeny make an excellent fist of their long-awaited debuts. One such galloper is the Guy Lowry bred and trained Grid Girl (Time Test-Chic by Savabeel).
Originally scheduled to make her debut in the Gold Trail Stakes, Grid Girl was instead reserved for a slightly softer kick-off, eventually stepping out at Woodville over 1200m.
After finding about as much luck in the running as a someone struck by lightning twice, Grid Girl finally found a gap late and rattled home for third.
Holding a nomination for the 1000 Guineas, Guy Lowry has earmarked the three-year-old event on the final day of the Tremains Hawkes Bay Spring Carnival for the exciting filly’s next start.
