This weeks’ Time Test Thursday puts the spotlight on another winner on debut in Australia, keeping up the sires outstanding record in “the Great Southern Land”.
Luton Hoo (Time Test-Royal Excess by Exceed and Excel) pictured here as yearling, scorched the turf to win over 1000m on debut in New South Wales earlier this week.
Bred by Buzz and Susie Williams, and Kirsty and Mark Percy, Luton Hoo was a $50,000 purchase by Chris Jory Bloodstock at last years Inglis Classic Sale. The three-year-old filly is trained by multiple Group 1 winning conditioner Matthew Smith.
Time Test has a 67% winners to runners ratio across the ditch, and more importantly three of those winners, all in 2023, are stakes horses.
