The run of success from graduates of LA’s recent Karaka drafts continued during the week with exciting filly Whimsical (Savabeel - Chanel’s Choice by Redoutes Choice) scoring at Te Rapa on Wednesday. Bloodstock agent Bruce Perry purchased Whimsical for $135,000 from LA’s 2019 Karaka draft for Dame Lowell Goddard and Lib Petagna. Whimsical’s win follows the recent stakes win of Avonallo and the 2000 Guineas runner-up performance of Bourbonaire, both of whom were purchased from LA’s Karaka drafts in 2020 and 2019 respectively.
