Blue chip investment Rue De Royale (pictured here as a yearling) continued his strong run of form this preparation with a gallant performance to score over 1200 metres at Caulfield.
It was the LA-bred multiple Group placegetter’s third career victory for trainers Tony and Calvin McEvoy and took his career earnings beyond A$1 million.
“He’s won a lot of money and we have placed him really aggressively, since he’s been gelded he’s been very tough and a real racehorse,” Tony McEvoy said. “We could go to the Goodwood (G1, 1200m), we wouldn’t shy away from that.”
By Per Incanto, he sold for A$180,000 at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale to McEvoy Mitchell Racing and the Belmont Bloodstock Agency and is out of the Exceed And Excel mare Urban Royale.
