Double Cause For LA Celebration

Centaine Gu Li has provided LA stallion manager Helen Phinney with plenty of sale ring highlights since Helen began breeding from the Centaine mare in 2005, however the pinnacle of those achievements came on the second day of the Select Sale with the mare’s Nadeem colt selling to Paul Moroney for $200,000.

The athletic brown colt attracted plenty of attention before being knocked down to Moroney. “He was a stunning colt and very reminiscent of his sire,” said Moroney.

Yesterday’s result continues a productive four days of selling for LA, capped by a stud record sale of $775,000 for the Savabeel-Generous Nature colt on Tuesday.

A real sense of stockmanship and a love of the animal. When our mares arrive back from LA, they look like they’ve had a month at Club Med, with some of the trimmings of the buffet, but also the glow of having had the attention of a personal trainer
