Fillies Get LA off to a Cracking Karaka Start

Some of the best international bloodstock judges underpinned a brisk start to the 2019 NZB National Yearling Sales Series and LA were in the thick of the vendor action with the I Am Invincible – Exposed filly knocked down to De Burgh Equine and Shadwell for $500,000.

The I Am Invincible filly will be trained in Melbourne by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig.

LA’s other two lots to sell during the opening afternoon session were purchased by prominent local owners Kevin Hickman and Gary Harding. The Valachi Downs proprietor bought the Per Incanto-Eloa filly for $130,000 while the laters trainer Cody Cole signed for the sweet walking Per Incanto-Fortune’s Choice filly for $160,000.

LA finished the first day’s trading leading the vendors table by average (for three or more sold) with an average of $263,334.
