Nicky and Nick White are hoping Catwalk Queen’s debut win at Tauranga on Friday is the first of many, with the Kaha Nui Farm principals helping to raise awareness and funds for the CatWalk Trust www.catwalk.org.nz through the filly.
Nicky White is a trustee of the charitable organisation, founded by Dame Catriona Williams, which supports research into spinal cord injury treatments and cures, and the Whites donated Catwalk Queen to the Trust in a bid to help that cause.
The CatWalk Trust partnered with Entain and The CatWalk Collective syndicate was formed, comprising 25 members who each have a one percent share in the filly, with the remaining 75 percent of the prizemoney earned donated straight to the Trust.
A daughter of LA’s Per Incanto, Catwalk Queen is trained by Lance O’Sullivan a Patron of CatWalk and Andrew Scott and was broken in by Kilgravin Lodge’s Eion Kemp, who offered his services free of charge
